Miss Caribbean UK Constestant Natina Mae Whitter is a young woman determined to make her mark, and she is well on her way. Inspired by her daughter, Natina took a chance and entered a beauty pageant, where she was crowned the 2014 Face of the West Midlands and went on to be the representative for Miss Caribbean UK 2015: one of only 16 finalists to be invited to participate.
Natina did not win the competition, in fact she may have won an even bigger prize – lessons about herself; the desire to increase her education and knowledge and the confidence to start her own business, Vybz Dance Academy. Take a listen to this young woman’s inspiration story and her message for other young women out there wishing to achieve more.
Miss Caribbean UK 2015, the 2nd edition of the Miss Caribbean UK pageant, was held on 5 December 2015 at the Shaw Theatre in London, UK. Keeleigh Griffith crowned her successor, the Commonwealth long jump athlete Amy Harris-Willock, who was representing Antigua and Barbuda. Sixteen contestants competed for the crown.
