Entrepreneur Joel Blake recognised with OBE Honour

The Financial Style would like to congratulate Joel Blake OBE

Friend of the show and guest, Joel Blake has been awarded an OBE in The Queen’s Birthday 2016 Honours List in recognition of his services to Business Support and Enterprise.

Founder of Cultiv8 and Co-founder of HOT500 and BizBritain Ltd Joel has been prominent in the Birmingham Business Community for many years. Starting out in business himself as a small business owner and having had his own struggles to become established, Joel recognised the support needs of businesses owners to grow and develop.  As such he has found many ways to give back, including being a Mentor himself at Aston Business School.

Always consistent in his dedication to help and give back, in 2010 he won Birmingham Young Professional of the Year for Recruitment & Training; was awarded the Unsung Community Hero in the Brilliant Birmingham Awards of 2014 and became one of the prestigious Maserati Top 100 UK Entrepreneurs in February 2015.

Merisha has known Joel for over a decade. She said, “I am so proud of my colleague and friend. We started out at a similar time and I remember when he launched Cultiv8 Solutions.  Since then he has continued to grow, and as he’s grown share his lessons and his learning with others.  This recognition is so well deserved.  How fitting that he is now Joel Blake OBE.”

Joel was last on the show in April 2016 talking about the work he has been doing with First Class Legacy and the Dear Younger’s project.  If you missed #CALLEDtheConference then take listen:
